In the Winter

In the Winter
By: K M R Daley
wrote this in 2011 for a college assignment

In the winter,
the air is fridged,
much like my heart.

In the winter,
snow covers the ground like a blanket of silk.

In the winter,
Christmas lights shine brightly
to illuminate the dark of night.

In the winter,
the tears fall silently
so no one is the wiser.

In the winter,
I grow dead inside.
